This year I only had to write one collection of school reports. I spent the first half of the year working as a relief teacher around some of the smaller out of town schools, but for the second half of the year one of these schools took me on to take a grade for the last six months. It’s a great little school, and I’m looking forward to doing some relief work there next year again. That, and I think I’m going to just nip out there once a week if I have the time anyway to keep the little band we started a few months back running. Oh… and they told me I had to come back because we still have an unfinished trebuchet to build!

Anyway, I wrote twenty one reports at the end of the year. One of the girls even complimented me on the ‘lovely words in the report’ afterwards. Complete with a dry look on her face! We saw eye to eye; we both love bad jokes!

Here’s Cody’s answer to avoiding the dreaded handing over of the report though. He’ll probably find out later that it’s quite easy for a school to print another report off if one gets lost!
