There’s a lot to be said for being able to stand up.
In regards to the strip though, I really enjoyed drawing up the backgrounds in this storyline. It was fun (although I got tired of colouring trees and scrub!) bringing the boys’ swimming hole to life, and there’s lots of strips still to go to see their little hidden kingdom over the next few weeks. I’m really happy with how this sequence turned out.
Hopefully you’ll all enjoy the fun, too.
Cheers.

As a horrible american, I would find it hilarious if SS suddenly came to a close because all the kids were eaten by crocs. Because every american knows that every single water hole in all of Australia is inhabited by a croc waiting to eat you.
You’re thinking of the Northern Territory! Seriously, it seems not a day goes by when their main newspaper doesn’t run a story about a crocodile! :D
The kids won’t get eaten by crocs though – the crocs live further North. This is a very Victorian based setting. There are more than enough animals down here they could run afoul of instead – redbacks, tiger snakes, king browns, red-belly blacks, sharks, drop bears…
