I really like the way this one came out. Brylcreem nice and chuffed, Cody frustrated as usual, and Casper just smiling it away and having fun. I think this is my favourite single piece, possibly in the entire archive. Not the biggest, nor probably the most important, but I think it really came out quite well. This is also an important piece because that texturing in the backgrounds? As soon as I saw how it came out, and how relatively quick it was to do, it’s now how all the external backgrounds are being coloured. I guess you could say this is the start of the next ‘art growth’ for the strip. The next series is starting to look really good because of it.
I’m going to ask a favour here now, too. I’m looking to get School Spirit out and in front of a lot more eyes this year, so if you’re enjoying the strip, or find one in particular that strikes your fancy, pass it around. When you have the chance you may want to block the “Destiny Helix” ad on the left hand side of the page. It looks like some kind of porn send up of the old Archie comics, mixed with some kind of animal fetish.

Thanks. I’ve spent about ten minutes or so looking for it, but I can’t see any sign of it on the ad page. If it’s still there (top ad or bottom ad?) let me know. I might also just bite the bullet and get rid of those ads anyway. Not like I’m raking in an income from them yet.
No, it’s gone now. It was showing up on the left hand side, about in the middle of the page. If you can see the ads that are there now, it’s been replaced by the “Words and unwords” advertisement for shirts and such.
(laughing) Although now there’s an ad there (near the bottom, right hand side) for “500+ of the hottest volumes” of Japanese Manga that you can order.
