It almost feels just like we’re starting again, putting up strip number 1001…
This one is for all of you out there who’ve read School Spirit from end to end, however many times. Thank you for hanging around and sharing your time with the kids. I’m sure they’d appreciate it if they knew.
Maybe they do!
Cheers.

Proud to count myself there! Read it end to end a couple of times, myself :-D Nice way to start a new series!
I thought so, too! Also saved me writing a new joke! :P
Now you can do some more French jokes! I STILL go back and re-read those every once in a while, and get a good laugh out of them. My favorite is still the ol’ bugger saying how his dad said they planted the trees to give the Germans somewhere to walk in the shade :)
Hahaha! Yeah, I enjoyed those ones, actually. My favourite was why it’s called French toast! Cos it’s yellow and they can’t be turned into soldiers! :D
I often use the “They put the trees there just so the Germans would have a place to walk in the shade” line on people and they generally always enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong, Mr. V. I am not one of those rabid “I think we should nuke everyone that doesn’t fall in step with us” people. In that particular instance, I do believe that a country that owes so much to so many other nations really seems to (a) have a large chip on its shoulder and (b) constantly opposes those same countries, constantly.
Glad you saw the humor in the comics, too :)
Where did the stairs come from on a single decker bus?
The stairs are to climb up to the inside level of the bus, above the wheel and engine housing beneath the floor. We step up into a bus too, ours are just built higher from the ground, I guess.
Do note, however, that our buses are actually flat faced. The engine bonnet area doesn’t actually hang out the front like a truck. I just drew this one that way to appear older.
