And here it is, School Spirit #1000! I like to think it’s a very fitting strip and story event to mark the occasion, too. The story has been building towards this for over one hundred strips now, so it was nice to have it all pull together at the 1000 mark. Now, on to further things, eh?
First though, an enormous thank you to every one who has read School Spirit over the years. Those of you who have arrived recently and caught up on the fun, those of you who have been here right from the very beginning, and those who have come in somewhere in between. I hope today’s strip is more than satisfying for you, having known the background of the characters throughout the archive!
If I may be bold enough, if I could enroll your services in whatever manner you can manage, it would be great to have the word of School Spirit spread wider by those who know it best, the readers. Any little word you can drop somewhere would be fantastic!
Also, in honour of today’s occasion, leave a comment! I’m especially interested to know how long some of you have been hanging around with us!
Today’s strip is very red, isn’t it? Couldn’t be helped, being inside the brick interior walls of the toilet building, but it is rather different to the general bluer background of School Spirit’s strips.
Anyway, cheers to the first 1000… it’s not over yet.

Thanks. I do enjoy creating them most of the time. I may not get excited over each one, but I enjoy the quiet time. Maybe that’s why it has a quieter sort of flow than most others.

A perfect moment for strip 1,000! I’m glad Grace finally gets to see Wendy, and I’m glad your 1,000th is such a sweet moment. I actually said “awwwww” out loud when I got to the last panel.
