You could continue the story arc and just break it up at 1000 to do a one-day special on “HUZZAH for 1000 comics!!!!”. It’s not a new year or even a holiday, probably. Might as well muddle on. :)
Yeah, could have taken that path, but the ‘hundred’ strips have all been part of the storylines and not stand alones. Number 1000 is going to be no different. THAT one is already planned and worked out. Now it’s only getting the story to reach that point, which is where these arcs are moving. :)
