You know, I’m not sure that for most of the eight months they fought each other there that they really considered each other the enemy. It seems they almost just respected that each side was just doing what it was told and left any hatred out of it. Particularly by the end of the campaign. Could be wrong, but it’s a nicer way to think of it all.
