This might be a long overdue time to talk about the ‘Sickbay’ panel that gets used quite a bit. We here at School Spirit call this one of our Snake Panels. Snake Tales is a long running Australian newspaper comic featuring a snake with no friends and his other Australian companions such as Roo, the Native, the Native’s Wife and the Flying Doc, amongst others. This little gem of a cartoon regularly uses the same panels as the punchlines to its jokes, such as the Flying Doc with his head slammed in the hospital front door, Snake being carried away on a stretcher, and the Native’s Wife punching the Native off the cliff after he’s just made a bad pun.
This ‘Sickbay’ panel is one of our homages to Snake Tales.
