It was April 25, 1915, when the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corp) landed at Gallipoli.

ANZAC Day is probably the most important day in the Australian calendar. It may well be in New Zealand too, but I haven’t been there to confirm it. Either way, there is much more reverence for this particular day Down Here than there is even for our national day, Australia Day.

A dawn service in your local township around the cenotaph is a quiet, reflective experience.
